Digital Marketing and Social Media

Overview 

This course introduces learners to the various roles, responsibilities and functions of digital marketing professionals. By the end of the session, you will have received a grounding in social media marketing, how to create an effective digital marketing plan, how to manage email marketing and the basics of SEO to optimise your brand. 

Learning objectives
  • Understand the power and influence of digital marketing. 
  • Consider social media from a business perspective, and how it can be used for brand development and reputation management. 
  • Build awareness of email marketing, SEO (search engine optimization), competitor analysis and other tools and approaches 
  • Learn how to develop a workable and effective digital marketing plan. 
Delivery method 

Can be delivered face to face, online or blended either in person or virtually e.g.  Teams/Zoom. Learners will have access to our learning platform where they can refer to the materials, watch extra resources such as videos and interactive activities and access links to organisations, for those that want to take their learning further. 

A full day is recommended for staff with little or no previous experience. For those with prior knowledge, a half day is recommended as a condensed session with post course materials. 

Workshops combine presentation slides, interactive exercises, individual reflection and group discussion.
