Leading and Motivating Teams

Overview 

This professional development in leading and motivating teams will build on general management knowledge to look at leadership concepts including leadership styles, influencing, motivational techniques and communication skills. By the end of the course you will have a personalised toolkit of practical strategies to take back into the workplace.

  • Learn about managing and leading change 
  • Explore communication skills and what is meant by emotional intelligence  
  • Learn active listening skills, conversational techniques and conflict resolution 
  • Develop your own leadership style to motivate and influence 
  • Create a personalised action plan to take your learning forward in your roles 
Delivery method 

Can be delivered face to face, online or blended either in person or virtually e.g.  Teams/Zoom. Learners will have access to our learning platform where they can refer to the materials, watch extra resources such as videos and interactive activities and access links to organisations, for those that want to take their learning further. 

A full day is recommended for staff with little or no previous experience. For those with prior knowledge, a half day is recommended as a condensed session with post course materials. 

Workshops combine presentation slides, interactive exercises, individual reflection and group discussion.
